Organization NO LIMIT is the organizer of the GORE-TEX® SERIES – VERTICAL RUNNING. This is a circuit of mountain races which is held at ski stations. Two formats will be contested in each Series: the Vertical Kilometer and the Vertical Race.
The GORE-TEX® SERIES – VERTICAL RUNNING is an event recognized by the Spanish Federation of Mountain and Climbing Sports (FEDME) and the Andorran Federation of Mountain Sports (FAM).Events VERTICAL KILOMETER (VK): Uphill race with a difference in altitude of approximately 1,000 meters and a race distance of between 2 and 5 kilometers. The runners start one by one in time trial fashion every 30”-60", depending on the number of participants. A draw will be held to decide the starting order for the participants except in the case of the seeded competitors, who will be the last to leave.
VERTICAL RACE (VR): The race is mainly uphill and the difference in altitude is approximately 1,000 metros while the race distance covered is between 10 and 17 kilometers. All competitors will start at the same time (in-line start).
Special Race TOWER CHALLENGE: Grand final in which the winners of each of the races and the first 50 men and the first 10 women to finish the GORE-TEX® SERIES – VERTICAL RUNNING will be allowed to participate. This is a race against the clock with the participants running 115 meters up the stairway of the Collserola Tower in Barcelona.

Validity of points in other circuits The results in the VERTICAL KILOMETER CANILLO which will be held in GRANDVALIRA on Saturday 20 July will count towards the CAMPEONATO DE ESPAÑA DE CARRERA VERTICAL FEDME 2009. General information
• The itineraries will be signposted. • Liquids and solid food will be provided at the finish line and approximately every 5 kilometers during the race. • The participants may hand in a bag with clothes and footwear which they can collect at the finish line. This will allow them to change at the finish. • Dressing room and shower facilities will be available after the races. • The organization shall not be responsible for any accidents or damage which the participants may suffer or cause, although it will do its best to prevent any such damage or accidents. • The organization reserves the right to change the rules and conditions of the GORE-TEX® SERIES – VERTICAL RUNNING or to suspend the competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or a situation of force majeure (adverse weather conditions). • Participants must follow the instructions that they are given by the organization. • All the participants accept these rules and the attached regulations when they register. Bibs • Participants must wear the numbers provided by the organization at all times and these numbers should not be folded or tampered with. The numbers will be of the usual dimensions (23x20 cm) used in similar events. • The numbers for the Grand Final at the tower will be on sleeveless lycra vests. • These numbered vests must be visible at all times, and they should not be cut, folded, covered or tampered with. Reasons for disqualification • Not following the indicated route. • Incorrect use of numbers. • Throwing rubbish or waste outside the designated areas. • Infractions against the environment. Conditions of the participants • Participants must be at least 18 years old. Minors may compete if they have parental consent. • Each runner must have suitable material to withstand typical high mountain conditions. Competitors are advised to bring a windbreaker, sunglasses and something to cover their heads.

| The other participants will receive 1 point The ranking for the GORE-TEX® SERIES – VERTICAL RUNNING will be decided by adding the points of the 4 best scores for each runner.
Participation in the Grand Final - The first man (1st) and the first woman (1st) in each race (VK and VR) - The first 50 classified in the RS200, to the first three in the VK in the M and F categories in each of the series.Prizes - Ten GORE RUNNING WEAR jackets and ten clocks for the first twenty finalists of the SERIES that will participate in the TOWER DE COLLSEROLA super final. Other gifts of the different collaborators for the rest of the finalists.
Total prize fund of €10,000 distributed among the winners of the TOWER CHALLENGE, the Grand Final at Collserola Tower in Barcelona. The prizes are subject to current legislation.

Registration details • The registration fee for each of the races is €10 until the Wednesday before each series. The registration fee will be €16 after that date.
• The registration fee for the two events (VR and VR) in the same series is €15 until the Wednesday before each series. The registration fee will be €21 after that date.
• Insurance against accidents is compulsory for those who do not have the specific accident insurance cover for competitions included with the FEDME federation membership card. The cost of the accident insurance is €4.

Image Rights The organization reserve the rights of the images, taking and gathering pictures, video and information of the races. As well as of using all this material one for announcements, public relationships or any media other purpose or of promotion of the race and other events of NO LIMIT.
